What to expect
Pittsburgh homes come with hills, tight stairs, and streets a truck cannot always climb. Our crews move houses and apartments across the North Hills, the East End, and the South Hills, and they carry what needs carrying.
Every truck is cleaned overnight by our warehouse crew, so it shows up ready in the morning. Our movers arrive in uniform, wrap furniture before it leaves the room, and set everything in the room you choose.
We move Monday to Saturday, and jobs start by 3pm so the crew is fresh for yours.
Careful help built around your move.
A lot of Pittsburgh moves happen on steep streets where the truck cannot park at the door. At houses on the hills, our crews carry most things by hand, and we do third-floor walk-ups nearly every day.
Important details for Residential Moving.
Tell us how many floors each home has and whether there are walk-ups or long stairways.
Let us know if the street is steep or the truck may not be able to park near the door.
List the large pieces, like dressers, sectionals, and beds, that will need to be taken apart or wrapped.
Point out anything fragile or valuable so the crew can protect it first.
Decide what you are packing yourself and what you want our crew to pack.
Choose the rooms you want set up first at the new home.
Keep your date and addresses current with our office so the crew arrives ready.
Careful, kind crews on every move.
Customers often say our movers were professional and kind. Our crews are customer-focused. Even when a customer has a complaint, they still say the crew was professional and kind.

Questions before you move.
Here are the practical questions customers most often ask before a move. Call us if your access, inventory, packing, or destination needs more context.
What should I share about Residential Moving?
Share the move date, both addresses, inventory, stairs or elevator access, parking, and any packing help you need.
What comes with the truck?
When you book movers with a truck, moving blankets, plastic wrap, a dolly, and basic tools to take apart and put back furniture come at no extra cost.
Do drawers and the fridge need to be empty?
Yes. Take clothing and small or fragile things out of dressers, nightstands, and cabinets, and empty the fridge and freezer before the crew arrives. Full drawers add weight and make furniture harder and less safe to carry.
Do I need to be home on moving day?
We ask you to be there so everything leaves the old place and goes into the right room at the new one. If you can't be, name someone to be on site and leave the crew clear instructions.
What days do you move?
